My desire is for every international student who comes to Wake Forest University to feel welcome and to have a positive experience during their time here in Winston-Salem, NC.  Having been an international student twice, I know what it’s like to be at a new school, far from family, friends and everything familiar.  I often felt out of place and isolated.  But, everything changed when local people invited me into their homes and lives. Those friendships made me feel like I belonged. I am excited to offer Wake Forest international students friendship with people in the community who care about you and want to get to know you. I look forward to meeting you! Whether it’s for a cup of tea, a stroll, a cultural event, holiday dinner, game night or study break, I hope you will join me.
