Lynn Culver is known for getting on her hands and knees for various acts of service. The word “ministry” is often translated “service.”
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1
So sometimes she’s cleaning floors, sometimes she’s praying to God, and today she’s trying to repack all of her bags because Delta in Zurich said she could only have 1 checked bag to go home with rather than the Delta phone agents who have repeatedly told me she’s entitled to 2 checked bags. Simple solution: pray, charge her Delta AMX the extra fee and get Delta to reimburse it when we get home.
Afterwords, we went to the airport chapel to give thanks for all of God’s grace & mercy. Never overlook the opportunity to praise God in the midst of the storm like I did 42 years ago when I entered the hospital chapel at Hermann Hospital in Houston Texas. I had taken Kelly for what I thought would be a routine check up, when her Dr suddenly diagnosed H flu meningitis & and told me to get Lynn to the hospital as quickly as possible because he didn’t think Kelly would survive the night.
But in the chapel God spoke to me clearly: “I will heal her and make her healing light to the nations.” Never overlook an opportunity to get on your hands and knees to serve the Lord, thank Him & ask His mercy!
